Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Holds 2026-2027 Fall Semester Academic Board Meeting

The 2026-2027 Academic Year Fall Semester Academic Board of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University was held on 26 October 2026 with the participation of our Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail BOZ, and our Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatih AYHAN. The board reviewed the faculty’s academic and administrative staff, the numbers of students, graduates and international students, the double major and minor programs, and the improvements in the departments’ national rankings based on the 2026 university entrance exam (YKS) results.

The meeting addressed accreditation and quality assurance efforts, most notably the full accreditation of the Economics (Turkish) Undergraduate Program by the STAR accreditation agency for a period of five years, as well as Erasmus+ mobility, integrated master’s programs, faculty and department events, collaborations with industry and non-governmental organizations, and internationalization activities. Academic incentive indicators, publication and project performance, digital management modules for course and examination evaluation reports, and the academic and administrative improvements implemented across the faculty were also shared with the participants.

During the board, the education and teaching policies for the new semester were discussed and expectations from departments and faculty members were set out. Key topics included the effective conduct of academic advising, keeping UBYS course information packages up to date, the Social Transcript practice, increasing Web of Science-indexed publications and applications for BAP, TÜBİTAK and EU projects, and strengthening international collaborations. Activities planned for the fall semester, along with requests and wishes, were also shared at the meeting.

In the final part of the board, academic robes were placed by our Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatih AYHAN, on the newly appointed professors Prof. Dr. Selçuk Çağrı ESENER from the Department of Public Finance, Prof. Dr. Ufuk BİNGÖL from the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, and Prof. Dr. Erdem BAĞCI from the Department of Economics, while our Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail BOZ, presented them with their certificates of congratulation.
