Exemption Examination for Turkish Language I and Turkish Language II Courses

All departments in all faculties affiliated with our university offer ‘Turkish Language I and Turkish Language II’ as compulsory courses. An exemption exam will be held on Wednesday, 24 September 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for students enrolled in 2025 who wish to be exempted from this course. Students who achieve a sufficient score in the exam will be exempt from taking these courses. The exam will be graded on a scale of 100 points. Students who achieve a score of CC 60 (sixty) or higher in the exam will be exempt from Turkish Language I-II courses. The score obtained by students will replace the grade for the exempted courses and will be included in the graduation grade point average. The score obtained in the exam will also be valid for the course that students are required to take. Students who fail to obtain exemption from Turkish Language I-II courses by scoring below 60 in the same exam are required to take these courses in the distance learning system.
