Our department held the 2025-2026 Fall Semester External Stakeholder Council Meeting on October 8, 2025.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Metehan Yılgör, Prof. Dr. Necla Tektaş, Dr. Ayça Özekin, Dr. Derya Topdağ, Dr. Fulden Kömüryakan Kaygısız, and Dr. Hakan Öndes from our department. Our external stakeholders included BANTAŞ HR Manager Vedat Arman, YEMMAK HR Manager Serdar Eren, Adin Oto Donanım HR Manager Hasan Palamut, Adin Oto Donanım Coordinator Ahmet Karaaslan, Bandırma İŞKUR Employment and Career Advisor İlker Tınay, our graduate students Duygu Sevim Aytan and Sevin Karagöz, and our student representative Mert Şengül attended the meeting.

During the meeting, information was shared about the current status of our department, its academic performance, and student numbers; opportunities for cooperation between our department and industry were evaluated. In addition, actions taken in previous meetings were conveyed, and our expectations for the coming period were presented.

As a result of discussions with our external stakeholders, consensus was reached on cooperation in areas such as company visits, mentoring student projects, speaker contributions to seminars and events, and CV preparation training to prepare our students for working life.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed topics such as the imbalance between the graduate-employee profile and the needs of the sector, the importance of foreign languages in professional life, the effects of the pandemic on students and the private sector, the transformations that artificial intelligence will bring to the business world in the future and how students can be developed in this area, and the creation of quotas for employees with disabilities. Views were exchanged on the fundamental issues.

We would like to thank all our external stakeholders for their participation and valuable contributions to the External Stakeholder Council Meeting held by the Department of Econometrics at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University. We believe that our collaboration will make significant contributions to the development of our students and their preparation for working life.
