The Achievement of Our Department Members

With the initiatives of our department members, Dr. Ayça Özekin and Dr. Fulden Kömüryakan Kaygısız, Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University has been officially recognized as a research institution by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat), the statistical office of the European Union, as a result of its competence and initiatives in the field of scientific research.

With this significant recognition, our University has achieved the distinction of being among only 22 higher education institutions in Türkiye selected by Eurostat. This status serves as a concrete indicator that our University’s research infrastructure is internationally acknowledged and that our scientific activities meet the standards of reliability established at the European level.
Through Eurostat recognition, our academic staff will gain access to microdata provided by Eurostat, thereby enabling the conduct of more advanced data analyses, comparative studies, and academic projects based on policy recommendations with greater effectiveness.
