Announcement Regarding the Additional Exams and Durations to be Given to the Students Registered to Associate Degree and Undergraduate Programs whose Maximum Term has expired at the end of the 2022-2023 Academic Year Fall Semester

 

At the Higher Education General Assembly meeting on September 27, 2021; It has been decided that the associate and undergraduate students who will be dismissed, including those who have been dismissed as of the 2017-2018 academic year, can benefit from the additional examination rights within the scope of subparagraph (c) of Article 44 of the Law No. 2547, taking into account the qualifications of the applied courses.

For this reason, the maximum durations are specified in paragraph (c) of Article 44 of the Law No. 2547 for associate and undergraduate students as follows.

“Those who cannot graduate by successfully completing their associate degree programs within a maximum of four years and their undergraduate programs within a maximum of seven years, regardless of whether they are registered for each semester, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they are enrolled in, excluding the one-year foreign language preparatory class (maximum two years), According to the conditions specified in Article 46 of this Law, students can register to continue their education, provided that they pay the tuition fee or tuition fees for the relevant semester. The preparatory education period is a maximum of two years. Students cannot be dismissed due to non-payment of contribution and tuition fees within the maximum period and failure to renew their registration, but students may be dismissed due to non-renewal of registration due to non-payment of tuition or tuition fee for four consecutive years with the decision of university authorized committees and approval of higher education board. provision is included.

Within the scope of subparagraph (c) of Article 44 of the Law No. 2547, the associate and undergraduate students who will be dismissed, including those who have been dismissed since the 2017-2018 academic year, will be given the right to two additional exams from all the courses they have failed.

Students who want to take advantage of the additional exam right should apply by e-mail to the Faculties and Vocational Schools they are registered to.

At the end of the additional time exams, the status of the student is evaluated within the framework of "Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education-Teaching and Examination Regulations, Maximum Study Periods and Student Status (Article 12)". additional time, unlimited exam rights will be given or dismissed.

Students who have completed their maximum period of time are given two additional exams for all the courses they fail. These two additional exam rights are used after the end of the semester exam periods of these courses before the new academic year starts. At the end of these exams, a student who cannot reduce the number of failed courses to five courses, including the courses he has never taken and does not fulfill the attendance requirement, is dismissed from the University.

After the two additional exams given to students who have completed their maximum term for all the courses they failed, those who reduce the number of failed courses to five courses, three semesters for these five courses, four semesters for those who fail up to five courses without using the right to take additional exams, and students who fail one course. unlimited right to take the exams without benefiting.
