ANNOUNCEMENT OF COMPULSORY TURKISH LANGUAGE I-II COURSE EXEMPTION EXAM

(For All Faculties and Vocational Schools Students Registered in 2024) Turkish Language I-II courses are compulsory courses in all departments of Faculties and Vocational Schools affiliated to our University. An exemption exam will be held for students with 2024 entry who want to be exempt from this course. Students who receive sufficient scores in the exam will not take this course. The exam is evaluated out of 100 (one hundred) points. Students who receive a score of CC 60 (sixty) and above in the exam are exempt from Turkish Language I-II courses. The score received by the students replaces the grade of the exempted courses and is taken into account in the graduation grade point average. The score received from the exam will also be valid for the course that the students are required to take. Students who cannot be exempted from Turkish Language I-II courses by receiving a score below 60 points in the same exam are required to take these courses in the distance education system. Our students will be responsible for all the subjects of the Definition of Language, Language, Culture and Thought Relationship, Languages ​​on Earth and Their Classification, Historical Development of Turkish, Historical Development of Turkish Literature, Phonetics, Morphology, Vocabulary, Sentence Information, Spelling Rules, Punctuation Marks, Expression Disorders, Expression Forms, Ways of Developing Thought, Poetry and Its Features, Types of Written Expression, Written Expression (Pattern Writings), Types of Oral Expression, Scientific Writing Techniques included in the content of Turkish Language I and Turkish Language II courses in the exemption exam. Taking the exam is not mandatory, and students who wish to do so will apply to the dean's office of the faculty they are registered to and the directorate of the vocational school with the attached petition.
