Announcement Regarding Additional Exams and Periods to be Given to Students Registered in Associate and Undergraduate Programs Who Have Completed Their Maximum Duration at the End of the Fall Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year

“Except for the one-year foreign language preparatory class (maximum two years), those who cannot graduate by successfully completing associate degree programs within a maximum of four years and undergraduate programs within a maximum of seven years, regardless of whether they registered for each term, starting from the term in which the courses related to the program they registered are given, may register to continue their education on the condition that they pay the student contribution fee/tuition fee per course they took in the relevant term’s application/exam according to the conditions specified in Article 46 of this Law. The maximum duration of preparatory education is two years. Students cannot be dismissed due to non-payment of contribution fee and tuition fee and non-renewal of registration within the maximum period, but students can be dismissed due to non-payment of contribution fee or tuition fee and non-renewal of registration for four consecutive years with the decision of the authorized university boards and the approval of the Higher Education Council.”

At the end of the additional time exams, the student's situation will be evaluated within the framework of the "Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Associate and Undergraduate Education-Teaching and Examination Regulation Maximum Education Periods and Student Status (Article 12)" and the relevant student will be given additional time, unlimited exam rights or will be dismissed.

Students who have completed their maximum period are given two additional exam rights for all courses they have failed. These two additional exam rights are used after the end-of-term exam periods of these courses before the new academic year begins. If a student cannot reduce the number of failed courses to five at the end of these exams, including courses they have never taken and have not met the attendance requirement, their relationship with the University is terminated.

After students who have completed their maximum period are given two additional exam rights for all courses they have failed, missed or failed due to absenteeism, those who have reduced the number of courses they have failed, missed or failed due to absenteeism to five courses are given three semesters for these five courses; those who have failed, missed or failed up to five courses without using their right to take additional exams are given four semesters; and those who have failed one course are given the right to take unlimited exams without benefiting from student rights.

• Our students   must complete the application process by selecting their courses for Supplementary Exams from the Application Procedures > Supplementary Exam Application V2 screen via the Student Information System ( https://obs.bandirma.edu.tr/oibs/std/login.aspx )  between February 10 - 13, 2025 . 
   

• Course registration checks and approvals for students who have applied will be made by the relevant units.
