November 10th Atatürk Commemoration Day Message

We commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, the commander-in-chief of our struggle for independence, and the great statesman, with mercy, gratitude, and respect on the 87th anniversary of his passing.

Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of our nation's epic struggle for independence and freedom, was an unparalleled leader who prioritized love for the homeland and nation above all else and resurrected the spirit of independence inherent in the Turkish nation, bringing it to the stage of history.

Atatürk brought the War of Independence, waged with the determination and faith of a nation facing hardship, to a victorious conclusion. He established the fully independent Republic of Turkey, based on national sovereignty, and thus bestowed upon our nation the honor of a modern state. His motto, "Sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the nation," remains a cornerstone of the Turkish understanding of statehood.

At Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, we are working diligently to raise young generations committed to national and spiritual values and equipped with the knowledge and technology required by our time.

On this meaningful day, we commemorate all the heroes of our struggle for independence, especially Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and our cherished martyrs with mercy, gratitude, and eternal respect.
May their souls rest in peace and their places be in heaven.
