Objectives and Aims of the Department

The primary aim of the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations is; to train "Labor Economists" who know the dynamics of working life, who understand and interpret the labor market, who can think and implement measures to ensure the welfare of the employee and increase the competitiveness of the workplace. Labor economics, social policy, social security, sociology of work, labor law, human resources disciplines are among the subjects that department students will receive education.

The objectives of the department are to understand the production and sharing problems of the society, to comprehend the changes and transformations in working life, to reach information theoretically and practically, to train individuals who can produce knowledge, and to conduct scientific research by providing undergraduate and graduate education in order to contribute to science at both national and international level.
