Exemption Exam for Atatürk’s Principles and History of Turkish Revolution I-II
The courses “Atatürk’s Principles and History of Turkish Revolution I-II” are compulsory in all departments of all faculties of our University. For students admitted in 2025 who wish to be exempt from these courses, an exemption exam will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
Students who achieve a sufficient score in this exam will not be required to take these courses. The exam will be graded out of 100 points. Students who score CC (60) or above will be exempt from the courses Atatürk’s Principles and History of Turkish Revolution I-II. The grade they obtain will replace the course grade and will be included in their graduation GPA. The score will also be valid for the compulsory course requirement. Students who score below 60 and therefore cannot be exempt will be obliged to take the courses.

The Armistice of Mondros and its consequences

The occupation of İzmir

Preparatory phase of the War of Independence (Mustafa Kemal’s arrival in Samsun, circulars, and congresses period)

Application Procedure:
Taking the exam is not mandatory. Students who wish to sit for the exam must apply to the Dean’s Office of their Faculty with the attached petition.

Venue: Each student will take the exam on the campus of their respective faculty or vocational school.
