A meaningful conference will be organized by the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, within the scope of May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day.

At the event titled “From May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day to the Digital Age: Labor, Security, and the Working Regimes of the Future”, the historical development of the concept of labor and the transformations taking place in working life during the digitalization process will be discussed. Within the program, evaluations will also be made on future models of work, social protection systems, workers’ rights, and new-generation forms of employment.

The speaker of the event will be Prof. Dr. Sayım YORGUN, faculty member of the Faculty of Economics, Istanbul University.

The conference will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 14:30 in the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Conference Hall.

The event, to which our university’s academic and administrative staff as well as all students are invited, is expected to shed light on current issues in working life and provide significant academic contributions to the participants.
