Conference on the Social Security System and the Importance of Social Security to be Held

A conference titled “The Social Security System and the Importance of Social Security” will be organized by the Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, with the aim of raising awareness about social security and discussing the contemporary dimensions of social security systems.

The guest speaker of the conference will be Şeref Karaca, Director of the Balıkesir Social Security Institution Provincial Directorate. The conference will address the structure of the social security system, the significance of social security for individuals and society, its role in working life, and current practices and developments in the field.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, at 14:30 in the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Conference Hall.

All academic and administrative staff members, as well as students, are kindly invited to attend.
