Our Department Represented at AKAD'EMEK
We proudly participated in the 9th AKAD'EMEK Words in Labor Economics Student Congress, organized in cooperation with Uludağ University’s Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations and the Turkish Metal Union, representing both our department and our university.
Research Assistant Muhammet Furkan KOCA and eight of our students represented our department and university at AKAD'EMEK with their papers and poster presentations.
The project titled Discrimination and Gender Equality in Turkey; Women's Labor Force Participation and Preventive Factors: The Case of Bandırma, prepared by our student Ezgi TİRYAKİ and her fellow project leaders Başak ERDAĞI and Furkan SEVİM under the supervision of Research Assistant Muhammet Furkan KOCA, and awarded support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program 2025/1 term, was presented to professors and students from various universities during the congress.
Our university students also presented their poster papers at the 9th AKAD'EMEK Congress: Beyza DÜNDAR, Birkan BAYAR, and Yusuf KUTLU presented The Influence of Families on University Students' Career Choice Process: The Case of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Aleyna ÖZTÜRK presented The Gig Economy and Its Rise, Semanur GÜL presented The Impact of Developments in Artificial Intelligence on Human Resource Management.
