Announcement Regarding Additional Exams and Deadlines to be Given to Students Enrolled in Associate and Undergraduate Programs Who Have Completed Their Maximum Duration at the End of the Spring Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year

The provision states: "Except for the one-year foreign language preparatory class (maximum two years), those who fail to graduate by successfully completing associate degree programs within a maximum of four years and undergraduate programs within a maximum of seven years, regardless of whether they registered for each semester, starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program they registered for are offered, may register to continue their education, provided they pay the student contribution/tuition fee for each course they took in the relevant semester's practical/exam, in accordance with the conditions stipulated in Article 46 of this Law. The maximum duration of preparatory education is two years. Students cannot be dismissed for non-payment of contribution or tuition fees or for non-renewal of registration within the maximum period. However, students may be dismissed for non-payment of contribution or tuition fees or for non-renewal of registration for four consecutive years with the decision of the authorized university boards and the approval of the Council of Higher Education."

At the end of the additional time exams, the student's status will be evaluated according to the "Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Associate and Undergraduate Education, Instruction, and Examination Regulations Maximum Study Periods and Student Status (Article 12)" and the student will be granted additional time, unlimited exam rights, or will be dismissed.

Students who have reached their maximum time will be granted two additional exam rights for all courses they failed. These two additional exam rights will be used before the new academic year begins, following the final exam periods for these courses. Students who fail to reduce the number of failed courses to five, including those they have never taken or for which they have not met the attendance requirements, will be dismissed from the University.

Students who have reached their maximum time limit are granted two additional exams for all courses they failed, missed, or failed due to absence. Those who reduce the number of courses they failed, missed, or failed due to absence to five courses are granted three semesters for these five courses. Those who failed, missed, or failed up to five courses without exercising their right to take additional exams are granted four semesters. Those who failed one course are granted the right to take unlimited exams without exercising their right to take student rights.

This is an important announcement for students.
