FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OPTIONAL INTERNSHIP
Is internship compulsory in our faculty?
No, it is not. There is an Optional Internship in our faculty.
Can we do an optional internship in any institution/organisation we want?
No, we cannot. Our faculty only accepts Optional Internships within the scope of the Presidential Internship Mobilisation Project.
Where can I apply for an internship?
National Internship Programme applications are made on the Presidential Career Gateway.
Can I apply for an internship for 2025?
Unfortunately, no. Applications for the 2025-2026 National Internship Programme were made between 23 December 2024 - 28 February 2025. (Due to the high number of applications, it was extended until 10 March 2025).
What are the application requirements for the 2025-2026 National Internship Programme?
Universities in Turkey, KKTC and abroad;
2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-year students in formal undergraduate programmes (except medicine, dentistry, and teaching departments),
1st- or 2nd-year students in associate degree programmes providing formal education,
If the grade point average is at least 2 out of 4 (equivalent in other systems) (grade point average is not required for the application of 1st year associate degree students*),
Not over 35 years of age as of 01.01.2025 (those born on or after 01.01.1990),
and
You can apply if you are a master's/doctoral student abroad.
Important: On the date of the internship, 2nd-year undergraduate and 1st-year associate degree students are expected to have passed to the next grade, 4th-year undergraduate and 2nd-year associate degree students are expected to have not graduated, and 1st year associate degree students are expected to have a GPA above 2. Otherwise, employers may cancel internship offers.
What happens if I am late in sending the signed and approved Internship Acceptance Form to the faculty?
It is mandatory to make an Insured Employment Entry Declaration for your internship procedures. In order for the declaration to be made, the Internship Acceptance Form must be sent to the Faculty by mail / cargo at least 1 week before the internship starts. In order to speed up the procedures, you can take a photo of the signed and certified form and send an e-mail to iibf@bandirma.edu.tr.
Why is HPAS (Health Provision Activation System) Certificate of Eligibility required?
In order to determine the insurance premium to be deposited on behalf of our students who will do internships, it is of great importance to send the document you will receive by making SPAS (Health Provision Activation System) Self-Employment Inquiry via the e-government gate to our faculty at the iibf@bandirma.edu.tr e-mail.
