Regarding Turkish Language I and Turkish Language II Courses Exemption Exam.

The "Turkish Language I and Turkish Language II" courses are compulsory in all departments of all faculties affiliated with our university. An exemption exam will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM for students admitted in 2025 who wish to be exempt from this course. Students who receive a sufficient score on the exam will not take these courses. The exam is graded out of 100 (one hundred). Students who receive a score of CC 60 (sixty) or above on the exam are exempt from Turkish Language I and II courses. The score received by the students replaces the grade for the exempted courses and is included in the graduation GPA. The score obtained from the exam will also be valid for the required courses. Students who cannot be exempt from Turkish Language I and II by receiving a score below 60 on the same exam are required to take these courses in the distance education system.

In the exemption exam, our students will be responsible for all of the subjects included in the Turkish Language I and Turkish Language II courses: Definition of Language, Relationship of Language, Culture and Thought, Languages ​​in the World and Their Classification, Historical Development of Turkish, Historical Development of Turkish Literature, Phonetics, Morphology, Vocabulary, Sentence Knowledge, Spelling Rules, Punctuation Marks, Disorders of Expression, Forms of Expression, Ways of Developing Thought, Poetry and Its Features, Types of Written Expression, Written Expression (Pattern Writings), Types of Oral Expression, Scientific Writing Techniques.
