1. Can you summarize your career journey from your graduation to the present?
Our participants shared the job applications and changes they made and the experiences they had during the time period from their graduation dates to the present. The participants made statements that will contribute to our students having an idea about possible scenarios that may occur after graduation. They presented their suggestions for our students.
2. What were your comments about the Business Education you received during your Career Journey? In which subjects did you feel competent/sufficient and in which subjects did you feel inadequate?
Our participants who graduated in different years made evaluations regarding their own terms. It was mentioned that especially education focused on practice can make a significant contribution, students should definitely experience working life and do internships, the importance of developing presentation skills during university education years, and the necessity of enriching the courses with the participation of professionals from working life.
3. Is there a course that you think should definitely be in the Business Administration Department course plan? What would be your suggestions regarding the education method?
In the evaluations of our participants regarding the course plan, it was emphasized that it is especially important to increase the courses focused on case studies and to add courses that can be carried out as term projects that will enable students to conduct research, collect data and make presentations. One of the important points emphasized in particular was that students should be guided in studies such as presentation, homework, research and project making on a mandatory basis rather than voluntarily. It was stated that in this way, the participation of all students in such practices can be made possible.
The session ended with the presentation of ideas for different activities that can be done and wishes and hopes.
