Political Science and Public Administration Doctoral Program

The Doctoral Program in Political Science and Public Administration began accepting students in the Fall Semester of the 2019-2020 Academic Year at the Institute of Social Sciences at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University. Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, the program, which continues its education under the Graduate Education Institute, carries out its academic activities with the contributions of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University academic staff, primarily the faculty members of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration.

The aim of the Political Science and Public Administration Doctorate program is to train qualified scientists and academics for the scientific world who are competent in their fields, possess a rich and multidimensional knowledge base in political science and public administration, can contribute to the existing field at the theoretical, managerial, and practical levels, are proficient in social, cultural, and political processes, and can generate solutions to encountered problems, and to train qualified scientists for managerial positions in the public sector, private sector, and civil society organizations, as well as academics for the scientific world. In line with this objective, the compulsory and elective courses in the doctoral program have been determined based on the disciplines of political science and public administration. This program aims to train individuals and scientists who have acquired the scientific knowledge and analytical skills required in the field of Political Science and Public Administration, who have the capacity to conduct research and overcome problems, who can enlighten their environment with their high communication skills, who embrace the responsibility of informing society by following what is real and true, and who are equipped with knowledge. It also aims to train scientists who can analyze increasingly complex national and global issues in the process of globalization and propose solutions to these problems.
