Political Science and Public Administration Master Program
The Public Administration Thesis-Based Master's Program commenced in the Fall semester of the 2004-2005 academic year under the Department of Public Administration at Balıkesir University's Institute of Social Sciences. The program was revised in 2012 as the Master's Program in Political Science and Public Administration with Thesis. With the establishment of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University on April 23, 2015, the Master's Program in Political Science and Public Administration with Thesis joined the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Institute of Social Sciences. Continuing its education under the Graduate Education Institute starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, the program carries out its academic activities with the contributions of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University academic staff, primarily faculty members of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration.

The purpose of the master's program is to train qualified personnel for managerial positions in the public sector, private sector, and civil society organizations, as well as academics for the scientific community. In line with this purpose, the compulsory and elective courses in the master's program have been determined based on the disciplines of Political Science and Public Administration. The program aims to train individuals and scientists who have acquired the scientific knowledge and analytical skills required in the field and belonging to the disciplines of Political Science and Public Administration. To this end, students are provided with general and theoretical knowledge in the fields of Public Administration, Political Science, and Public Policy, and are also engaged in practical work. This ensures that students graduating from the Thesis-based Master's Program in Political Science and Public Administration can specialize in a subject of their choice in today's administrative and political fields and generate solutions.

The program has taken on the responsibility of cultivating individuals equipped with the capacity to conduct research and overcome challenges, capable of enlightening their surroundings with strong communication skills, committed to informing society by following the path of truth and accuracy, and dedicated to nurturing knowledge-based individuals. Furthermore, it aims to produce graduates who can analyze increasingly complex national and global issues in the process of globalization and propose solutions to these problems. Furthermore, it aims to train researchers and faculty members who understand the theories, concepts, and methods in the field of Political Science and Public Administration, possess the ability to apply, analyze, and interpret these in real life, contribute to national and international projects, and publish papers, articles, etc., in the scientific world based on their knowledge base.
