Preparing an Associate Professor Application File Event

On Tuesday, February 26, 2024, at 1:00 PM, an “Associate Professor Application Preparation Event” will be held in the Hacı Bektaşi Veli meeting hall. We invite all faculty members to attend the event, which will feature a presentation by our department chair, Prof. Dr. Hasan Aydın OKUYAN.

In academic promotion processes, especially in associate professorship applications, merely meeting the written criteria is often insufficient; the quality and integrity of the file, the accurate presentation of academic contributions, and avoiding common technical errors play a decisive role. Therefore, the fundamental reason for the need for such an event is to raise awareness among candidates about “unwritten expectations,” file structure, and the jury's evaluation logic. The event aims to enable candidates to prepare their associate professorship files with a strategic, transparent, and strong academic narrative, reduce common mistakes made during the application process, provide guidance on the correct classification and presentation of academic outputs, and ultimately contribute to the creation of more qualified, systematic, and convincing files in terms of evaluation.
