An Erasmus Information Session Was Held
The Erasmus information session organized by the Department of Business Administration’s Student Exchange Committee was held on Monday, April 6, at 1:00 p.m. in Room G-208 of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, with a high turnout. The event, attended by a large number of students interested in the Erasmus program, provided comprehensive information about the opportunities offered by the program and the application processes.
The meeting was moderated by Prof. Dr. Nida Abdioğlu, the Business Department’s Erasmus Coordinator, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selahattin Koşunalp, the International Relations Coordinator, also participated in the event and offered insights into the academic and institutional aspects of the Erasmus program.
One of the most notable parts of the event was the experience-sharing session by Merve Çelik and Nabil Lalouchi, students who had previously benefited from the Erasmus student mobility program. The students shared their valuable experiences regarding their educational journeys abroad, interactions with different cultures, and personal development with the participants.
Merve Çelik emphasized that the Erasmus process offers significant contributions not only academically but also in terms of personal development, stating, “Living and studying in a different country broadens your perspective. Your self-confidence grows, and you become a more independent individual.” Çelik also highlighted the importance of early preparation during the application process and improving language proficiency.
Nabil Lalouchi, meanwhile, highlighted the positive impact of the Erasmus experience on career planning, saying, “Being in an international environment gives you a competitive edge both academically and professionally. Building new connections and experiencing different education systems is invaluable.” Lalouchi advised students to carefully prepare their motivation letters and conduct prior research on the host country during the application process.
Throughout the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions they were curious about and gained direct insights into various aspects of the Erasmus program. The event concluded by offering participants both inspiring and guiding contributions.
