Contribution from Our Department Faculty Member to the ICAFR 2025 Congress

Prof. Dr. H. Aydın OKUYAN, one of the faculty members of our department, provided academic and organizational contributions to the 4th International Conference for Alternative Finance Research / ICAFR 2025 during his stay in Norway within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship.

ICAFR 2025, which brought together international researchers and practitioners in the field of alternative finance, addressed current topics such as crowdfunding, digital funding, microfinance, prosocial lending, crypto assets, and alternative finance regulations. The congress serves as an interdisciplinary platform that brings together academics and sector representatives from various disciplines, including economics, finance, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, business ethics, law, and information systems.

Within the scope of the congress, Prof. Dr. H. Aydın OKUYAN served as the editor of the proceedings book, supported the organization of the congress, and also presented a paper at the event. The fact that the 2025 event was organized in cooperation with the University of Agder School of Business and Law, Utrecht University European Center for Alternative Finance, and Aalborg University further strengthened the international academic character of the activity.

This contribution demonstrates Prof. Dr. H. Aydın OKUYAN’s active participation in international academic networks in the field of alternative finance, while also contributing to our department’s international visibility, academic cooperation capacity, and scientific productivity.
