Contribution from Our Department Faculty Member to the ICAFR 2026 Congress

Prof. Dr. H. Aydın OKUYAN, one of the faculty members of our department, continued the international collaboration he developed with the research team in Norway following his academic studies carried out in Norway within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. In this context, he made an academic contribution to the 5th International Conference for Alternative Finance Research / ICAFR 2026.

ICAFR 2026 is an international academic platform that brings together researchers and practitioners working in the field of alternative finance. The congress addressed topics such as crowdfunding, digital funding, microfinance, prosocial lending, invoice trading, crypto assets, and digital currencies. It brought together academics, sector representatives, and policymakers from various disciplines, including economics, finance, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, business ethics, law, and information systems.

The 2026 event was organized in Spain in cooperation with the University of Agder School of Business and Law, Utrecht University European Center for Alternative Finance, and the University of Malaga. Within the scope of the congress, Prof. Dr. H. Aydın OKUYAN served as the editor of the proceedings book and participated in the congress by presenting a paper.

This contribution demonstrates that the academic ties established in Norway within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2219 fellowship continued after the fellowship period, while also contributing to our department’s international visibility, academic cooperation capacity, and scientific productivity.
