Prof. Dr. H. Aydın OKUYAN Completed the TÜBİTAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program

Prof. Dr. H. Aydın OKUYAN, one of the faculty members of our department, carried out academic studies at the University of Agder in Norway between October 2024 and September 2025 within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program.

During his one-year academic visit, he had the opportunity to develop his research project, conducted in line with his area of expertise, in an international academic environment. Throughout this process, studies were carried out on reviewing the current literature, data analysis, strengthening the theoretical framework, and preparing academic publications. In addition, regular meetings were held with researchers at the host university, during which the methodology, scope, and potential scientific outputs of the research were evaluated.

During his stay in Norway, Prof. Dr. H. Aydın OKUYAN participated in seminars, workshops, and research meetings at the host university, interacting with different academic circles and gaining the opportunity to closely experience the international research culture. In addition, as the host university holds AACSB accreditation, he had the opportunity to observe how accreditation processes are carried out at the institutional level and how quality assurance practices are reflected in education, research, and internationalization activities.

This academic visit is expected to contribute both to strengthening our faculty member’s research capacity and to the institutional development processes of our department focused on international cooperation, quality improvement, and accreditation.
