Department of Economics External Stakeholder Accreditation Process Information Meeting

The Department of Economics held an information and consultation meeting with its external stakeholders within the scope of the STAR accreditation process, which aims to strengthen quality assurance in education and enhance national recognition. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, Head of the Department of Economics. In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar emphasized that the accreditation process is not limited to certifying educational standards, but also serves as a quality enhancement mechanism that fosters continuous interaction between the department and its external stakeholders. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar highlighted that the department’s primary objective is to improve the employability of its graduates and to provide an education that meets the expectations of stakeholders. During the meeting, the core principles of the STAR accreditation process, the preparation of the self-assessment report, the external evaluation stages, and the importance of stakeholder contribution were discussed in detail. The meeting was considered an important step toward strengthening the department’s quality-oriented educational approach and enhancing its national and international visibility through active collaboration with stakeholders.
