Erasmus Program: Cultural Exchange and Academic Opportunities

As the Department of Economics at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, we emphasize the importance of international experiences. We encourage our students to engage with cultural diversity, study in academic environments abroad, and gain new perspectives. To this end, we offer the Erasmus program as an opportunity.

What is Erasmus?

The Erasmus program is an initiative of the European Union that promotes student and academic staff exchanges among higher education institutions in Europe. The program was established to support cooperation and integration among European countries.

The Erasmus program offers participants the opportunity to study for a semester or undertake an internship at partner institutions abroad. Students can take some or all of their courses at another university with which there is an Erasmus agreement. Similarly, students who wish to undertake internships can benefit from the Erasmus program to complete an internship in another country.

The program is designed to facilitate students’ academic mobility. In this way, students can broaden their perspectives by studying within different academic environments specialized in their fields. In addition, they have the opportunity to improve their language skills and strengthen international relations through interaction with different cultures.

Within the scope of the Erasmus program, students are provided with scholarship opportunities for travel and living expenses. Furthermore, guidance and support services are offered to participants to ease the adaptation process and to help them cope with potential issues.
