Erasmus Program: Cultural Exchange and Academic Opportunities

As the Department of Economics at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, we emphasize the importance of international experience. We encourage our students to engage with cultural diversity, study in academic environments abroad, and gain new perspectives. For this purpose, we offer the Erasmus program as an opportunity.

What is Erasmus?

The Erasmus program is an initiative of the European Union that promotes student and academic staff exchange among higher education institutions in Europe. The program was created to support cooperation and integration among European countries.

Erasmus offers participants the chance to study for a semester at partner institutions abroad or to undertake an internship. Students can take some or all of their courses at another university that has an Erasmus agreement with their home institution. Likewise, students who wish to do an internship can benefit from the Erasmus program to complete it in another country.

The program is designed to facilitate academic mobility. In this way, students can broaden their perspectives by studying in different academic environments specialized in their fields. They also have the opportunity to improve their language skills through interaction with different cultures and to strengthen international connections.

Within the scope of Erasmus, scholarships are offered to students to support travel costs and living expenses. In addition, guidance and support services are provided to make the adaptation process easier and to help participants deal with possible issues.
