The undergraduate program of the Department of Economics includes program qualifications aimed at students. These qualifications ensure that graduates possess fundamental knowledge and skills in the field of economics and aim to position them successfully in the sector. The program qualifications intended to be provided to students in the undergraduate program of the Department of Economics are as follows:

 

  • Basic Economic Knowledge: Students gain the ability to understand and analyze basic economic issues. In this context, they are taught how to use materials related to fundamental economic concepts such as microeconomics and macroeconomics.
  • Analytical Thinking Ability: Students learn to approach economic problems from an analytical perspective. Their ability to produce solutions through proper economic modeling by considering current economic problems from different angles is developed.
  • Data Collection and Interpretation: Students learn to act in accordance with professional and scientific ethical values in the processes of collecting, interpreting, and sharing data related to the science of economics.
  • Information Technologies Knowledge: Students acquire sufficient software knowledge to follow and use information technologies and information systems in the field of economics. They understand the relationship between basic computer programs and the field of economics.
  • Foreign Language Competence: Students improve their foreign language skills to follow international economic literature and communicate effectively with international communities. In this way, they gain the opportunity to contribute to global economic developments and to benefit from international cooperation opportunities.
  • Academic and Professional Competence: Students acquire the competence to conduct undergraduate-level studies in their fields. They gain the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and engage in collaborative discussions.
