Program Educational Goals
The educational goals of the Economics Undergraduate Program were formulated by examining the employment fields of program graduates, so as to encompass the career goals and professional expectations of Economics graduates. Accordingly, in determining the Educational Objectives, the mission of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, the mission of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the mission of the Department of Economics were taken into account, and the views of the Department of Economics’ internal and external stakeholders were sought. Ultimately, at its meeting dated 13.06.2024, the Department of Economics Board decided to update the Educational Objectives of the Economics Undergraduate Program as below and to announce them on the Department website. Currently, internal and external stakeholder meetings are held regularly once every semester to identify the needs of current and alumni students and to obtain up-to-date information on sectoral needs, labor demand, and academic and industrial work standards. In this way, a knowledge base is created to keep the program’s educational objectives current and effective.
To enable graduates to develop the ability to solve economic problems using economic theories and models and to formulate economic policy recommendations.
To equip graduates with economic analysis skills and the ability to make strategic decisions that provide a competitive advantage in the business world.
To train graduates to become specialists who conduct economic policy analyses in the public sector and contribute to economic development and sustainability goals.
To enable graduates to conduct economic research in financial institutions and market-oriented organizations and to become accomplished professionals.
To instill in graduates the responsibility to raise public awareness in the field of economics by employing analysis and communication skills with an ethical approach.
To cultivate graduates as individuals who are open to lifelong learning and professional development opportunities and who can adapt to changing economic environments.
