**City Councils Meet at the University: Bandırma and Gönen City Councils Gathering**

The event titled “City Councils Gathering: Bandırma and Gönen City Councils at the University,” organized by the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, will provide an important platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences on urban governance, local participation, and the sustainable development of cities.

Within the scope of the event, topics such as the role of city councils in local governance processes, their contributions to urban life, citizen participation mechanisms, and local development issues will be discussed. The program will also present current perspectives on local governance practices alongside the sharing of experiences from different city councils.

The speakers of the program will include Dr. Murat Ergöz, President of the Bandırma City Council, and Samet Arıker, President of the Gönen City Council, while Prof. Dr. Metin Kılıç, a faculty member at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, will serve as the moderator.

The event, open to academics, students, and all interested participants, aims to strengthen cooperation between the university and local stakeholders and to foster collaborative platforms for discussion and exchange of ideas.
