PROTOCOL WITH THE SOUTH MARMARA TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION ASSOCIATION (GMTİD)

This protocol aims to establish a systematic collaboration between the Department of Business Administration at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University and GMTİD in the fields of technology, R&D, innovation, and sustainability.

The primary objective is to develop students' skills not only through theoretical knowledge but also in project generation, technical thinking, and gaining applied experience. In this context, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support specifically for TÜBİTAK student projects lies at the heart of the protocol.

The scope of the protocol is more practice-oriented than traditional academic collaborations. Accordingly, the following are planned:

• Developing R&D and technology-focused student projects

• Organizing training sessions, seminars, and workshops themed around innovation and sustainability

• Conducting technical trips, fieldwork, and applied learning activities

• Providing active support during project writing and development processes

There is a clear division of labor between the parties:

• GMTİD provides students with mentorship, technical knowledge, and field support in the areas of technology and innovation; it also assumes a guiding role in project applications.

• The University (Department of Business Administration) carries out the duties of academic advising, scientific evaluation, and student organization.

Furthermore, within the scope of the protocol, the aim is to create a technology and innovation ecosystem through activities such as:

• Establishing joint workshops and research environments

• Organizing panels, seminars, and project days

• Providing expert and speaker support when necessary

To ensure the effective execution of the collaboration, both parties appoint coordinators who are responsible for the planning, monitoring, and reporting processes.

The protocol enters into effect on March 30, 2026, and is valid for a period of 3 years; it may be extended by mutual agreement of the parties. Additionally, either party

may unilaterally terminate the protocol by providing justification.

The courts of Bandırma are authorized to resolve any legal disputes that may arise.
