VERTICAL TRANSFER

As the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Department of Business Administration, we are delighted to welcome our students who have successfully completed their associate degree education and aim for a bachelor's degree to our department through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS).

Vertical transfer is a significant opportunity that enables students graduating from vocational schools and open education associate degree programs to transfer to four-year bachelor's degree programs relevant to their fields. Through this program, you can transform your two-year education into a four-year bachelor's degree and open new doors in your career.

If you are an associate degree graduate or a senior student and wish to obtain a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, you can give a strong momentum to your academic and professional journey by joining our department via DGS!

📋 What is the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS)? The Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) is a central exam held once a year by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). This exam is a transfer mechanism created so that associate degree graduates can continue their education at the bachelor's degree level.

In the DGS, candidates are asked a total of 120 questions from two sections: numerical and verbal. The exam duration is 150 minutes. The questions aim to measure numerical and verbal reasoning skills, which are effective in success during bachelor's degree education. In calculating the placement score, both the exam score and the associate degree cumulative grade point average (ÖBP) are evaluated together.

✅ Who Can Apply? What Are the Application Requirements?

  • It is necessary to graduate from an associate degree program of any vocational school or open education faculty.
  • Candidates who are in their senior year and have fulfilled all graduation requirements except internship can also apply.
  • Candidates with an associate degree diploma whose equivalence is recognized abroad can also take the exam.
  • Those who receive an associate degree diploma from programs with an education duration of four years or more cannot apply for the DGS.
  • There is no limit to the number of times one can take the DGS.
  • Candidates are granted a total of 30 preference rights.
