PROTOCOL WITH GÖNEN CITY COUNCIL

This protocol is an official document aiming to establish a sustainable and institutional collaboration between the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University and Gönen City Council.

The primary objective of the protocol is to ensure that students do not remain limited to theoretical knowledge but gain applied knowledge and experience in fields such as business administration, finance, marketing, management, R&D, innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility. Simultaneously, it aims to create a permanent ground for collaboration between the university and the local administration.

Within this scope, the parties agree to jointly conduct the following activities:

• Organizing training programs, seminars, and panels

• Developing joint projects

• Providing students with internship and applied fieldwork opportunities

• Conducting research activities

• Contributing to social responsibility and volunteer work

The responsibilities of the parties are also clearly defined in the protocol: The University (Department of Business Administration): Organizes student participation, provides academic advising, and conducts educational activities. Gönen City Council: Provides the necessary environment and logistical support for activities, undertakes project coordination, and equips students with field experience.

The areas of collaboration primarily focus on topics such as:

• R&D and innovation projects

• Sustainability and environmental awareness

• Social responsibility and volunteer work

• Local development and entrepreneurship

• Training, seminars, and applied fieldwork

• Mentorship and internship support

The protocol will enter into effect on March 30, 2026, and will be valid for a period of 3 years. It may be extended by mutual agreement of the parties. Additionally, either party may terminate the protocol by providing written justification. To ensure the healthy execution of the implementation process, both parties will appoint a coordinator.
