ALUMNI - STUDENT GATHERING

The alumni-student gatherings organized by the Department of Business Administration aim to facilitate career-oriented knowledge and experience sharing by bringing together alumni from different graduation years with current students. In this context, alumni working in the private and public sectors, department faculty members, and students met in an interactive environment during online events held via Webex.

During the events, alumni shared their post-graduation career journeys, work experiences, and the opportunities they encountered with the students, thereby contributing to the students' gaining awareness about business life. Furthermore, the strong aspects of business administration education and areas needing improvement were evaluated; the importance of topics such as practical training, internship experience, presentation skills, and the involvement of industry professionals in classes was particularly emphasized.

Within the scope of suggestions regarding course contents, it was expressed that courses based on case study analyses should be increased, research and project-based studies should be widespread, and such activities should be made mandatory to ensure students' active participation.

Overall, the events were regarded as highly productive and interactive organizations that guide students in their career planning, provide feedback to faculty members on enhancing course contents, and strengthen the bond between the alumni and the university.
