Organized by the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, the “Welcome to the BANÜ Business Administration Family!” The Department of Business Administration Orientation Program was held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in AMFİ-I.
Organized to help students taking their first steps into university life get to know our department, our faculty, and the opportunities offered by our university more closely, the program provided comprehensive information to facilitate students’ adaptation to academic and social life.
As part of the program, an introduction to Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the Department of Business Administration was presented first. This was followed by information about the department administration and academic staff, and students were introduced to the academic/registration advisors and career counselors with whom they can communicate throughout their academic careers. In addition to the university and department introductions, the orientation presentation covered topics such as academic staff and advising, the academic calendar and course schedules, course registration and programs, student rights and responsibilities, campus life, and the Erasmus+ Program.
Students were provided with information on the 2026–2027 academic calendar, the Business Administration Department’s course plan, required and elective courses, and the credit and ECTS systems. In addition, they were briefed on key considerations during the course registration process, exam procedures, the grading system, and their responsibilities regarding the verification of their own course registrations.
The program also introduced double majors, minors, and exchange programs that students can take advantage of throughout their university education. Information was shared on how students can benefit from various educational and development opportunities, particularly through the Erasmus+ Program.
In another segment of the orientation, it was emphasized that university life is not limited to just classes, and information was provided about the Career Development, Application, and Research Center (KAGEM), student clubs, sports facilities, health services, dining, and library services. Services offered by KAGEM—such as career counseling, job and internship postings, career events, resume preparation, and interview techniques—were introduced to the students.
The program, during which students’ questions were answered, concluded with a presentation of our department’s academic and social opportunities and an effort to encourage our new students to make a more informed and confident start to their university life.
As the Department of Business Administration, we say “Welcome to the BANÜ Business Administration Family” to all students joining us for the 2026–2027 academic year; we wish you a successful, productive, and enjoyable university life.
